As of December 7th, the City of Avon is discontinuing the VIP Text program and encourage you to sign up for the Lorain County Emergency Alert System below::
Lorain County Emergency Alert Registration
You will receive Lorain County emergency alerts and public service announcements. The City of Avon uses this as our primary alert system as well. In the event of an emergency (examples may include weather alerts, road closures, water main break, traffic light out, etc) an alert may be sent via voicemail and/or text to the phone number(s) you provide and/or your email address. Please go to the following link to sign up:
