Red Cross Lifeguard certification required. Applications also accepted from those enrolling in a lifeguarding class. Provide a safe, clean and customer friendly aquatic facility. Responsible for preventing and responding to emergencies, accident, and injuries. Understand and enforce facility rules, maintain skills through in-service training & certification renewal. Provide information and assistance to customers, perform cleaning and equipment set up/take down duties.
Minimum age 15. Starting Wage: $13.13
Lifeguard Classes available at local YMCA’s and Recreation Centers
The Pool manager will interview prospective guards prior to obtaining certification. Final hiring is contingent on successful completion of a course. APPLY NOW
Keeps pool area, buildings and grounds clean; Performs custodial duties including cleaning restrooms, pool equipment, pool gutters, decks etc. Vacuums pool, removes litter and trash, assists in the set-up and clean-up of activities.
**May also monitor safe use of slides. Dispatches individuals, checks height restrictions, enforces rules.
Starting Wage: $11.62/hr. Minimum Age 15.
**Slide attendant must be a minimum age of 16.
Pool Supervisor (age 18+ yrs)
Starting Wage: $15/hr. higher rates with experience.
Pool Cashier Supervisor (age 21+ yrs)
Starting Wage: $14/hr. higher rate with experience
Pool Cashier (age 17+ yrs)
Starting Wage: $11.62/hr.

The American Red Cross lifeguard training and certification are imperative to the process of getting hired on as an official Red Cross lifeguard. Our detailed training includes both testing of hands-on skills as well as comprehension on written tests. The certification, which includes First Aid, CPR and AED training, is valid for two years upon completion and is accepted nationwide. The American Red Cross is the most respected source for training and certification of this kind.
Blended learning portion needs to be completed by TBD.
