Avon Story Time at the Pool

Join the Avon Library as we read to the children at the Avon Aquatics facility, 36265 Detroit Rd, Avon. Story times and interactive activities will take place during hourly swim breaks. Activities include swim noodle building and chalk drawing.


Orchestra Petting Zoo

Families with children of all ages are invited to this musical day presented by members of the Avon High School Orchestra at the Avon Branch library.  The students will be on hand with their instruments to talk about them, demonstrate their beautiful and varied sounds, and in some cases provide a hands-on experience to young visitors. Inspire the musician in your child by attending this special event.


Bicycle Maintenance and Repair

Bicycle enthusiasts, come to the Avon Branch library  and learn bicycle maintenance 101 from Marty’s Cycle Center in Avon Lake. Learn how to change a flat tire and perform basic bike maintenance.

Explore Avon’s new wooded play area!  The Avon Branch Library will offer story times two Fridays per month in the woods. Music, movement activities, nature walks and play will accompany nature-themed stories. Please dress for the weather and bring a blanket to sit on.
